Xenophobia

Xenophobia

Crushed by uncertainty, wavering ever so slightly, darkness seeps into goosebumped pores.
Tales woven through spectacular graphics moving across a screen,
lead to ones fearful soul shutting down.
Drowning in visions of creatures, imaginations could only conjure,
sucking at the air of compressing these thoughts that haunt us for
infinite amounts of time.
World end fanatics dance in the rhythm of the mind, while natural disasters flash, rumble and rip apart the future.
Time stopping, starting again, unknown futures cascade like raindrops on a rock.
Getting a grip, sustaining fearlessness with known certainties, one fights back overwhelming emotions.
Growing in the basking sun, futures of light flourish.
So fear not the unknown, for it may be the light you will run into.

Lovely Heart

Lovely Heart

Gaining strength from a happy soul,
the lovely heart is extolled.
Burdened by life’s circumstances,
the lovely heart takes its chances.
Battle swords drawn by the brain,
the lovely heart tears up with pain.
Betrayed by so called friends,
the lovely heart makes amends.
Loving every earthly thing,
the lovely hearts strings sing.
Music wafting through the air,
the lovely heart dances without a care.
Searching for its match,
the lovely heart doesn’t just attach.
It looks for the perfect one
the lovely heart takes no action.
Patiently awaiting forever more,
the lovely heart waits for its amour.
Until the day they shall meet again,
the lovely heart will remain.

Word Art

Word Art
The page is a blank canvas, no thoughts have occurred.
Silence threatens to break me.
So quiet not even a breeze can be heard.
Tranquility sets in as I breathe in and out.
My wordless thoughts linger, looming overhead.
I feel it, my soul forming, shifting into words.
They slip, spill forth, blackening the once ivory backdrop.
Timeless language pours forward, leaving
stories and experiences in its wake.
All that is needed is courage.
Courage to live through words.

All italicized words are from my own formed word group: Pour, courage, page, slipping, timeless, linger, silence, and breeze.

Another resource book gave me an idea. It told me to form my own word group and write a poem using them. The examples given were four words long. Mine on the other hand is eight and variations of the words. It was a way to get the creative juices going again. Hope you all enjoy it and please visit One Stop Poetry for One Shot Wednesday. They have a new home with word press at : http://onestoppoetry.com/
